My employer is seeking a remote/contract comic book typesetting/retouch artist. Ideally, I'm looking for someone who already has lettering experience, and are comfortable with both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The work would entail cleaning up Japanese comic pages (ie removing Japanese SFX and replacing with English SFX) and replacing all Japanese text with English text from a script.
My employer is also seeking a graphic designer/vector artist currently living in Canada, ideally in or near Toronto. This work is urgent and there is a lot to be done, and my employer would like to be able to meet with the artist in person frequently for the duration of the project.
Both gigs are paid per project and can be ongoing/long-term for the right person, so ideally I'm looking for artists who can commit to multiple projects or a longer time fram rather than working on just one gig and then being unavailable. We have a very busy and full schedule for 2017 and we need people who can start right away and will be consistent, prompt, and professional.
For the typesetting gig, an unpaid 1-page lettering test will be required.
If interested, please email me at gneeworks [at] gmail with your full name, brief explanation of your experience, your resume and a link to your portfolio. If you already have samples of lettering work, please send those over!
